I filmed a quick demonstration with my HeartMath monitor to prove it. In the first clip, I breathed the way most people do all day and let my mind drift to something that pulled me off center. Within seconds, the data changed. My HRV became jagged. My coherence dropped. My system shifted into a state that burns energy fast and reduces clarity.

Then I recorded a second clip.

All I did was slow my breath and think of one thing I was grateful for. Sixty seconds later, my HRV was smooth and even. My coherence rose. My heart and brain synced again. This is the part most people don’t know: your nervous system is trainable. You can shift your internal state on purpose.
